PICTURE THIS: 2 or more hours a week you offer specific days/times when you're able to welcome a few additional children into your home (the schedule is up to you, the number of children is up to you). Moms call you to confirm whether or not you are able to watch their kid(s) at that time, and once you do babysit the moms "pay" you using special tickets, one ticket per hour per child. These tickets can then be used toward your own babysitting needs within the co-op. It really is that simple! *New members receive however many tickets they sign up to babysit that first week (3 kids for 2 hours = 6 tickets).

Created by moms who value a bit of extra spare time... Whether you crave the efficiency of grocery shopping alone, want to exercise regularly, perhaps attend a doctor's appt or other meeting, or simply need some quiet/personal study time, the DBC is here for you!
What to do
To the left, the schedule will display the availability of member(s) to babysit along with the number of hours/children she can accept (i.e. Suzie 2/3 means Suzie is available for 2 hours & can take up to 3 children). Call the member to confirm the date & time (contact phone numbers are listed below). Remember to be prompt when picking up your child(ren), and use the tickets to "pay" your babysitter for her services (one ticket per hour per child).
Leave a comment should your schedule change (if no one is yet counting on you to babysit), or should you have a need for a time that is not offered - perhaps another member is available, just currently not on the schedule. Finally, enjoy your spare time!
